High Intensity Focused Ultrasound Machines - lift, firm and tighten the skin

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, also known as ‘HIFU’, ‘non-surgical face lift’ or the ‘lunchtime face lift’ has become one of the most sought-after lifting, firming, and tightening treatments for the face and body. A HIFU machine tightens and firms up loose skin to counteract the effects of both time and gravity.

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)

Deep in the skin is the SMAS layer, this is the layer a surgeon will physically lift in a facelift; being so deepit’s difficult to target with non-surgical technology – until now! HIFU creates deep focus points of coagulativenecrosis in the SMAS layer through 65-degree heat zones. The SMAS layer is immediately contracted withoutdamage to the skin surface or surrounding tissues, this creates immediate tightening and lifting. As the skin’swound healing response is triggered, the skin naturally lifts and tightens over time, continually improving upto 12 weeks post treatment. HIFU can be adjusted to target the upper and lower dermis as well as the SMASlayer with 4.5mm, 3mm, and 1.5mm cartridge depths to reduce lines and wrinkles, crepiness, and laxity.Patients can expect real changes that lift and tighten jawlines, make cheekbones more prominent, reduceunder eye bags, and lift brow areas. All in all, there is nothing better to give skin back its SNAP!

Safety Assist Transducers (SAT), unique to the Focus Dual®, emit high intensity ultrasound waves in a unique pattern that avoids unwanted overlap in the surface tissues reducing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and reducing discomfort for all.

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound consistently reaches temperatures of 60-70o C initiating optimal neocollagenesis to lift and tighten skin. This is especially effective around the eyes, cheeks, and jawline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Radiofrequency Microneedling (RFM) be used on all patients of all ages?

Patients with laxity concerns can benefit from the dual effect of the Microneedling with Radiofrequency. As the Focus Dual offers many different needle depths and intensity settings for the RF, treatments can be easily customised to every different skin.

Younger skins who do not yet require lifting and tightening can benefit from Microneedling without the RF to focus on refining pores, evening out texture, and improving overall quality.

How does a HIFU facial treatment work?

This non-surgical facelift works on the SMAS layer deep below the skin, which is the area surgeons tighten for face and neck lifts. Rather than surgery, the Focus Dual harnesses ultrasound technology to radiate energy to the SMAS layer to tighten, lift and plump the skin.

How many HIFU sessions are needed?

Treatments are carried out every 4-6 weeks and typically between 1 and 3 treatments are recommended for best results. Top-up sessions are performed as required, but usually only once or twice a year.

Is there any downtime with a Focus Dual HIFU treatment?

Due to the non-invasive nature of HIFU treatments, there is little to no downtime. You may experience red skin following the treatment, and a small percentage of clients do experience minor swelling symptoms.

These symptoms are mild and temporary. Your clients will be able to return to their normal activities straight away, and there are no special recovery measures needed. This is why HIFU has earned the name “lunchtime facelift”.

When will you see results following a Focus Dual treatment?

Results can be seen immediately, and the results get better and better up to 12 weeks post-treatment as your clients’ collagen is renewed.

We expect results to last 1-2 years however, this can be dependent on lifestyle and maintenance.
